A Quick Note from the Road

Greetings from the Road! I have spent the week at the Aspen Ideas Health Festival. This was a great opportunity to see what conversations are happening around health and wellness. I had the good fortune of sharing the stage with Dr. Kate Bowler, a bestselling New York Times author, and Steve Burns, who is best known for his role on Blue’s Clues. We discussed nostalgia and the role it plays in showing us how the past can pave the way for a brighter future. You can see our conversation here:
Back to the Future: The Power of Nostalgia
I want to thank Kate for her enthusiastic moderating and Steve for his honest commentary on being the subject of nostalgia. You can follow Kate’s Substack, Everything Happens here. Follow Steve’s podcast, Alive with Steve Burns here.
It was great being in Aspen, CO and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to explore ideas on the power of nostalgia. I will also have a podcast to share soon which was recorded at Aspen with Dr. Jason Arora from The Health Curve where we discussed a range of topics, including meaning in life and nostalgia.
I’m off to Kansas City tomorrow for a World Cup game. I will be appearing in a documentary about nostalgia and its impact on soccer (I mean fútbol). Flourishing Friday will be back next week.
Have a great weekend!
Clay
